1. Setting up Email Intake Agent
There are two ways to set up an email intake agent — depending on your workflow and preferences. Both methods link incoming emails to a specific series so ideas become actionable content cards automatically.
Set Up from the Agents Page
🛠️ How it works:
Navigate to the "Agents" page on your left side panel.
Click "Create agent" and select "Email".
Name your agent a descriptive name for easy tracking.
-
Select a Style and Tone Agent that fits your brand (default: Smart Brevity).
Instructions on how to set up a Style and Tone Agent can be found here.
Choose a Series where new cards should appear when emails are received.
Click "Save agent".
HQ will display a series-specific email address to send content directly to. Share this email address with your colleagues that want to send content over into HQ.

2. Restricting domains for Email Intake Agent
Restrict who can create cards with Email intake agents by adding allowed domains. Only emails from specified domains (and their subdomains) will be allowed to forward emails to HQ.
Only Owners and Admins can access this page.
🛠️ How it works:
- Navigate to Org level Settings and select AI Agents from the dropdown menu.
- Type any domain that you would like to allow to send content to Axios HQ.
- Click "Add domain".
- Once this is set up, only messages sent from approved domains will be accepted.
3. View source data
🛠️ How it works:
- Click the card to open the card in the quick view card editor panel.
- Click "View source" on the top right of the card.
- Here you can see who sent it to HQ, which Email Intake Agent was used, which Style & Tone agent was used, and what the original message was.
4. Personalize your Agent's email address
🛠️ How it works:
- Navigate to your "Agents" page on your left side panel.
- Click on the “Edit” button to the far right of your Email agent on the Agents page.
- Scroll down to the bottom where you can see the email address and click “Edit” and enter the personalized email address you would like to use.

- Start using your Email agent’s personalized email address!
‼️ Changing the email address will disable the previous email address. Email agent will no longer work if you are using an old email address.
