1. Create a Style & Tone Agent

⚒️ How it works:

  • Navigate to Agents, then click Create agent in the top right. From here select Style & tone.

  • Choose a clear name that describes the style guide, target audience or voice. This will avoid confusion if you or your team create multiple style & tone agents.

  • Decide if you want to provide examples to learn from (required if you want to generate instructions). We offer adding sent cards (at least 3, no more than 10), or uploading brand guidelines or other sample copy.

  • Add instructions for the agent. If you select example cards and/or upload files you must also provide instructions to ensure the agent interprets examples correctly. Use the AI-powered “Generate instructions” button to automatically create instructions based on your examples. You can review and edit the generated instructions.

  • Choose whether you want the agent to only be available to you and admins, or if you want to have it be available to all users in your organization.

  • Select "save agent"

2. Apply your Style & Tone Agent to Content-gathering Agents

⚒️ How it works:

  • Navigate to Agents > Content-gathering.

  • Open your Slack or Email content-gathering agent by clicking the name or the "Edit" button.

  • Select your Style & Tone Agent in the Choose how your content should sound section.

  • Make sure to click "Update agent" once you're done making changes.

  • New messages captured by this agent will be refined to your rules before they appear in drafts.

3. Apply your Style & Tone Agent to a Card

⚒️ How it works:

  • In the Editor, click the Sparkle icon to view all AI options.

  • Hover over the "Agents" options to expose all available Style & Tone agents.

  • Click on an agent to let it regenerate your card content.

  • Once the agent is finished you will get a chance to review the output, regenerate the output or discard the output.

4. FAQs

Can I edit or improve the agent later?
Yes. Navigate back to Agents > Style & tone, then click the agent name or the Edit button in the agent row to adjust. On the page that opens select "Configure" at the top of the screen. Here you will be able to change the name, samples you have previously added, instructions and permissions. Once your changes are implemented, make sure to click "Update agent" in the top right.

Should I create more than one agent?
If you maintain distinct voices (e.g., CEO updates vs. HR notes), create a separate Style & Tone Agent for each.

Who can create or edit Style & Tone Agents?
Agents are available to all users in the workspace. However the permissions for use and visibility can be set for each agent during creation or updates.

What happens when I delete my Style & Tone Agent?
Deleting an agent removes its automation and stops it from creating or rewriting new content. Existing draft cards that were created or transformed by the agent will remain in your Series Planner and are not affected.

How does the Style & Tone Agent differ from Custom Rules under org Settings > Customization?
The Style & Tone Agent automatically rewrites incoming Slack or email content to match your org’s tone or voice. Custom Rules, on the other hand, apply within the editor, offering visible keyword replacements while writing.

My agent is not improving my card copy. What can I do?
Make sure you have only selected between three and ten card examples and your instructions are specific. If changing the amount of examples doesn't work for you, please reach out to help@axioshq.com and we will take a deeper look.
